In Romania, a mysterious hunk of metal that was found a long time ago, in the 1970s, appears to be altering our thoughts on extra-terrestrial life. The chunk of aluminum seems to be artificial in origin, raising questions. It has been called “250,000-year-old UFO wreckage” by experts, though it seems to be presenting us with more questions than it does answers.

The object was found about 10 meters underground near the Mures River. Oddly enough, it was buried with two bones.

It’s a mystery, according to The Sun.

Gheorghe Cohal, the Deputy Director of the Romanian Ufologists Association, told local media outlets: “Lab tests concluded it is an old UFO fragment given that the substances it comprises cannot be combined with technology available on Earth.”

This hunk of metal features a concavo, a distinctive shape.

It was quickly determined that the bones were from a large mammal that died somewhere between 10,000 and 80,000 years ago, but experts were shocked when they realized that the metal was manufactured.

A local historian believes that the metal is actually from a WWII German aircraft, though the age is still somewhat off.
